Rainwater from the roof and surrounding property is collected and treated using our custom designed aeration and bacterial injection systems. These powerful beneficial bacteria are metered into the water at a rate of one part per million to maintain excellent water quality and clarity, eliminate obnoxious odors, consume excess nutrients, minimize sludge buildup as well as nuisance algae and aquatic vegetation in the entrance pond.

Private Residence Aquatic Resource Creation
Aspen, Colorado

Aqua Sierra, Inc. worked with Design Workshop, Inc. in the design of an artificial stream course, pumping system and series of ponds located near Aspen, Colorado. Goals of the project were to create a quality trout fishery within a completely closed loop re-circulating system. Aqua Sierra provided complete designs and specifications for the stream course creation and habitat features, and pumping system that includes a series of three large pumps designed to run at different times of the year to mimic the natural hydrograph. The actual construction was completed in September of 2003 followed by aquatic invertebrate establishment in the fall of 2003 and fishery establishment in the spring of 2004.

Private Residence Artificial Stream Course Pumping and Aeration System Design
